This is me.

A couple decades ago, of course. When play was life and I didn’t know to be self-conscious.

Dana Davis is a Los Angeles-based artist, designer, and writer. She creates in ink, acrylic paint, and digitally.

After escaping a toxic corporate job, Dana found happiness through reinvention as a creator and artist. She writes to explore deep thoughts and feelings, she designs to put her ideas into the real world, and she makes art to get out of her head and routine.

Dana's loose and messy style, in both her paintings and her black ink sketches, is reflective of her rebellion against her own internal perfectionism. Every brush stroke and ink line is an expression of play and intentional freedom from the burden of self-inflicted, unrealistic expectations.

Dana's hope is to inspire those who view her art to let go of the idea of curated perfection and instead embrace the the beauty and joy that can be found by simply going with the flow and being present in the journey.
